After an intense tryout process that saw over 70 athletes competing for a spot, your North Cougars were ready to take the field for their season opener. With Grapevine unable to field a B team, it was a showdown between the A squads!

North wasted no time making their presence known, with goalkeeper Kaylee Carpenter coming up big early, recording three crucial saves in the first half. The Cougars came out firing on all cylinders, dominating possession and storming to a commanding 5-0 lead by halftime.

Determined to maintain control, North’s defense locked down in the second half, not allowing a single shot on goal. On the offensive end, it was a true team effort, as Brylee Felix, Jaehee Lee, Allison Lewis, Aneesha Anand, Jalina Suarez, Isabel Lingenbrink, and Dany Pease all found the back of the net!

With such a dominant all-around performance, Player of the Game honors go to the entire North team—an incredible way to start the season!
