As the season continues to fire up, the North Boys Soccer program made their first road trip of the spring to take on the Colts from Colleyville Middle School on Thursday evening. Both teams were hyped for the chance to face off in early district action!

As usual, the A teams took to the pitch first. North was looking to avenge last week's season-opening loss and place themselves higher on the standings table. However, the game ended up playing out in a very similar manner to the first effort last week. North unfortunately allowed a couple early goals to give Colleyville the 2-0 lead despite seeming to out perform the Colts throughout most of the game. Despite goals from Diego Cuberos and Sergio Exposito Perez to even the match, Colleyville was able to find the lead once again in the second half when they scored from a corner kick opportunity. Despite a furious push, the Cougars just could't overcome the deficit once again and fell by the familiar 3-2 final tally.

But all was not lost on the evening, and once again North's B team took the pitch looking to find some Cougar success! And it didn't take long as the Cougars jumped all over the Colts to take a commanding lead. Taking a commanding lead into halftime, North was led by John Ortiz (4 goals), Aiden Gambrell (2 goals), and Juan Murcia and Oscar Martin also scoring to take an 8-0 lead into the half. As the second half kicked off, Ashwath Kolla added one more score before the game was called with North on top by a 9-0 final! In goal, both Robert Bundia and Matthew De Santiago tag-teamed the shutout effort and the Cougars B squad is now off to a 2-0 start this year.
