North Cross Country had a fantastic showing at the Grapevine Invitational this week, with all four teams placing in the top three!

The 8th grade girls set the tone early, dominating the race with all five of their top runners placing in the top ten. Angie Nguyen led the way, finishing 1st overall with a time of 13:35. Right behind her was Kate McGrath in 2nd (13:49). Mirabelle Sagel placed 4th (14:16), Mila Obidzinski took 7th (14:47), and Milleena Garcia finished 8th (15:04). The strong pack effort helped North secure 1st place as a team.

The 8th grade boys followed with another strong performance, finishing 2nd overall as a team. Paxton Nomura led North with a 6th place finish (12:59), followed by Christian Bennet in 8th (13:03), Vihaan Sapkota in 10th (13:10), Austin Shelby in 11th (13:14), and Graham Burgess in 12th (13:18).

The 7th grade girls kept the momentum going with a 2nd place team finish. Madeline Koehler dominated the field, finishing 1st overall with a time of 13:45. She was followed by Karissa Hansen in 3rd (14:12), Samvrita Sunil in 4th (14:57), Ellie Zonozy in 10th (16:32), and Berkley Hoerman in 12th (16:55).

Rounding out the day, the 7th grade boys battled hard and earned a 3rd place team finish. Caleb Rose placed 2nd overall with a time of 12:24, followed closely by Preston Boucher in 4th (12:45) and Ben Peiffer in 5th (12:58). Vivaan Naria finished 13th (15:03), and Ashmit Adhikari rounded out the top five in 19th (15:09).

North will look to carry this momentum into next week as we host our home meet at Andy Brown West. Come out and cheer on our runners!
