North traveled to Cross Timbers for their second game of the season and came ready to battle!
Cross Timbers came out strong, scoring three goals in the first half and putting North in a tough spot heading into halftime. But North did not back down. The girls made great adjustments in the second half, locked in defensively, and allowed only one shot on goal after halftime.
Karrissa Hansen gave North a spark with an incredible corner kick that found the back of the net! She later assisted to Kate McGrath, helping North fight all the way back into the game. Unfortunately, the comeback came up just short, with North taking its first loss of the season, 3-2.
Nadia Stanback is North’s Player of the Game for setting the tone defensively and helping lead a strong second-half response.
North’s B Team was up next, and they wasted no time making a statement! Sterling Cook got North on the board early when her shot bounced off a defender and slipped between the goalie’s legs. From there, North took control and never looked back.
Sehbin Lee, Fatima Coria, Aavika Kishani, and Elliot Jones all added goals of their own to help lead North to an impressive 5-0 victory! Harper Miller, Ameya Shah, Holiday Lora, and Madeline Koehler helped anchor the defense and secure the shutout.
