The A Team faced their 2nd loss of the season bringing their season record to 2-2. They went against a well-grounded defensive team, who’s lead player scored 13 pts in the first quarter on them. As always, the Lady Cougars never gave up, implementing a defensive plan and left Trinity Springs star player only scoring 9 points for the remainder of the game. The Lady Cougars finished the 3rd and 4th quarter leading with buckets, but bouncing back from the 1st quarter deficit landed them with a 25-37 defeat. The Lady Cougars held their heads high when leaving the court, as they established a win in their own book. Effort, attitude and teamwork does not go unrecognized in this week’s game, which leads us to recognizing Lauren Bennet and Ryan Kate Hoerman who were the only post for that day’s game. Courtney Del-Cid is the player of the game, as she was moved from her guard position to a post at her staggering height of 5’3. Del-Cid provided relief and unstoppable defense against their star player. The Lady Cougars have a bright future and have demonstrated impressive skills and hard work over a short timeframe.

The B Team pulled out an explosive win against Trinity Springs Middle School, 21-14. Their teamwork was unmatched, with each player contributing to their win... Ella Baek (12 steals, 3 rebounds and 2 points), Kenzi Marlin (5 steals, 8 points), Sydney Kroft (7 steals and overall aggressive defense). It is so great to see these girls gelling as a team and really coming into their own! Nice job ladies!

The C Team again down a few players in Saturday’s game remain undefeated winning against Trinity Springs, 26-6. Their chemistry was very evident, with 17 rebounds 15 steals as a team and every player finding an opportunity to score some points! These ladies have been working very hard over the last several weeks. Keep it up ladies, you have such a bright season ahead!
