COMPETITIVE LOSS AGAINST ADAMS

Competitive Loss Against Adams

COACH SALERNO & COACH HOOD

Coach Salerno & Coach Hood | 1/29/2021

The C Team had their most competitive game yet, ultimately falling to Adams Middle School. These girls hustled hard as always and were determined to prove that it’s not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog! With two more games left in the seasons the coaching staff is so excited to see these girls shine and show our crosstown rivals what these Lady Cougars are made of.

The B Team had a tough fight up until the very end, coming out with a loss against Adam Middle School 31-29. These girls were the definition of true grit, and we are so pleased with how flexible they were throughout the game. With almost 15 steals as a team against the strongest opponent they’ve seen all season, they fought hard and the coaching staff could not have asked for a better group of athletes!

The A Team knew what it took to keep the competition at an even playing field, but they came up short to a very competitive, well-grounded shooting and rebounding team. The Lady Cougars were defeated 38-23. Not only did they compete against a great team, but they also battled their own personal enemies with missed free throws and lay ups that accumulated a total of 23 points. In game of sports, the score does not define you, but what occurred from the 1st quarter to the 4th quarter does. These girls never gave up and fought a good fight! Klyee Brandenburg was unstoppable on defense and Courtney Del-Cid and Neerali Kapadia helped lead the team in steals and scoring.
