The Cougars traveled to Carroll MS on Saturday for their 8th competition of the season. It was not a good day for the Cougars as they got swept by the Dragons. The day started with a competitive effort from the A team, but lack of rebounding and giving up 2nd and 3rd attempts to the Dragons resulted in a 10 point loss. Isaiah Fleming lead the team in scoring with 10 points followed by Gage De Los Santos with 9. Fleming also had 6 steals on the day.
A slow start from the B team seemed to be the difference in the game. They went down 17-8 in the first quarter and could not close the gap. Multiple turnovers killed any offensive momentum the Cougars gained. Will Ellis and Mohamed Oudrageo lead in scoring with 7 points each.
The C team really struggled with turnovers the whole game. They were unable to effectively break the Dragon press. They made a 3rd quarter push to narrow the lead but it was not enough. Asher Siebenmann lead the team with 8 points and 2 steals.
