Last night, the lady cougars played their first volleyball game against Adams Lions in their season opener. This was a tough team to match up against but the girls were not willing to back down from a challenge. 7th grade C and A teams did not secure the win but the true victory was showing up and giving their best. C team player of the game was Anna Croley for her unbreakable serves and setting. A team player of the game was Riley Koski-Barger for being a stellar DS on the back row. The B team did pull out a win for the night and set the bar high for future games to come. B team player of the game was Courtney Hargrove for her overall court awareness and dependability as a setter. Scores for the games are as follows:

A: 9-25 & 11-25
B: 27-25, 17-25, & 15-12
C: 21-25, 25-22, & 9-15

8th grade C team lost in 2 sets with a score of 13-25 and 14-25. Shoutout to Amala Rao for earning multiple points through her aggressive serving. Player of the game is Hasini Ramasamy for her level head, smart game play and reliability all around. B team also lost in 2 sets with a score of 12-25 and 9-25. Siya Bijaya earned the team 4 consecutive points from her serving. Player of the dame is Kelsey Clark for her leadership on the court IQ and solid setting. A team player of the game was Molly Williams for being a steady force and consistent passing as the team libero and Ryan-Kate Hoerman for being a team leader as a 6 rotation player.
