On Monday evening, the North Cougars 7th grade football teams took the field for the last time this season in games against their cross town rivals from CISD East. As the weather was moving in, both teams looked to bring their best to the gridiron.

In the B game, North came out strong and made some exciting defensive plays. However, East kept poking and prodding and was able to find some holes in the Cougar defense. Despite a late TD run by Ethan Kim, the Cougars just couldn't keep up and fell 31-7 to the Broncos. Overall, the B team finished the 2022 season with a 3-5 record.

And in the following A game, Mother Nature was threatening from the start and moved in just as quickly as the action on the field. For the second week in a row, North fell behind early and lost some momentum despite a nice interception by Jacob Anene on defense. The Cougars looked to bounce back with a long kickoff return by Sebastian Ramos for a TD, but a little yellow flag on the field said otherwise. Unfortunately, the light show in the sky ended the contest at halftime with the Cougars behind 26-0 on the scoreboard. The A team finished this fall with an overall record of 2-5-1.

Thank you to our North fans for your support all season long. We hope to build upon this season and look for even better results when we return to the field in 2023!
