B Team Rallies Past Heritage for 32–27 Win

The North Cougars B team faced off against Heritage in an exciting matchup that showed determination and teamwork from start to finish.

Heritage came out strong in the first quarter, jumping to an early lead and ending the period ahead 9–4. The Cougars didn’t back down, though, and slowly chipped away at the deficit in the second quarter. By halftime, Heritage’s lead had been cut to just three points, with the score at 13–10.

North turned the momentum in the third quarter with strong defense and smart offense. The Cougars outscored Heritage 9–2 in the quarter, taking a 19–15 lead heading into the fourth. The final quarter was back and forth, but North stayed composed and protected their lead to secure a 32–27 victory.

Christian Bennet led the Cougars in scoring with 14 points, while Adam Hendrickson added 6 points. The win was a great example of the Cougars’ perseverance and ability to adjust as the game went on.

A Team Cruises Past Heritage with Strong Start

Following the B team’s exciting comeback win, A team kept the momentum going with an impressive performance against Heritage.

North wasted no time taking control of the game, jumping out to a 25–12 lead after the first quarter. Mason Hotle set the tone early, scoring 13 points in the opening period to spark the Cougars’ fast start. The second quarter was more evenly matched, with both teams trading baskets, but North stayed in command and went into halftime leading 38–24.

The Cougars continued to build their lead in the third quarter, using strong defense and balanced scoring to push the advantage to 51–33 heading into the fourth. North stayed in control throughout the final quarter, sealing a solid 59–46 victory.

Mason Hotle led all scorers with 25 points, while Garrison Gamet added 13. Damian Triggs made a big impact inside, finishing with 9 points and an impressive 12 rebounds. The Cougars’ strong start and consistent play helped secure another well-earned win.

Aguilera’s Late Layup Lifts Cougars Past Heritage

C team battled Heritage in a hard-fought and exciting game that came down to the final seconds.

Defense dominated early, as the first quarter ended in a 2–2 tie. North found its rhythm in the second quarter, using strong effort on both ends of the floor to take an 11–6 lead into halftime. Heritage responded in the third quarter, cutting into the lead and making it a close game once again, with the Cougars holding a slim 16–14 advantage heading into the fourth.

The final quarter was intense, with Heritage pulling ahead late and taking a two-point lead. North refused to quit, tying the game with less than a minute remaining. With under 20 seconds to play, the Cougars had possession and made it count. Bryan Aguilera drove in for a clutch layup with about five seconds left, giving North the lead for good and sealing an exciting victory with a final score of 20-18.
