North traveled to East for the Round Robin Tournament with one major goal in mind: bring home the City Championship for Northl! With matchups against both East and West, the Cougars knew they had to show up, compete, and leave it all on the field—and they did exactly that.
North’s A Team came in looking for a bounce-back win after last week’s tough loss, and they wasted no time making a statement! Emmy Anene got North rolling with the first goal of the night off an assist from Nadia Stanback, who was absolutely electric and led the team with 4 assists in the game. Sam Sunil added another assist, setting up Mila Obidzinski for a goal, and Brylee Felix took over from there. Brylee delivered a huge performance, pulling off a hat trick and earning Player of the Game honors! On the defensive end, Hila Silverman was a goal-stopping machine, recording 7 saves and helping North secure a dominant 5-0 shutout over East!
Next up was the B Team, and they were determined to keep their undefeated season alive! True to form, North kept the next-player-up mentality rolling, with 8 different players recording either a goal or an assist. This team continues to show what unselfish soccer looks like! Kaylee Avila earned Player of the Game after an incredible performance that included 1 assist and a hat trick. Sehbin Lee and Fatima Coria each added an assist, Adeline Mendola recorded 2 assists, Bryce Wilson added 1 assist and 1 goal, and Aavika Kishnani and Elliot Jones both found the back of the net. Suni Cho and Karis Wilkins combined for 4 saves to complete another dominant 6-0 shutout over East!
Then came the matchup with West, and the message was simple: win, and you are City Champs.
North’s A Team came out locked in, controlling possession, attacking with confidence, and switching the ball around like pros. And just like that… North’s A Team became City Champs!
North’s B Team was not done either. They had their eyes on a City Championship crown of their own, and they picked up right where they left off against East. The passing was sharp, the movement was outstanding, and the Cougars found the perfect moments to strike. Perfect pass after perfect pass helped North cruise to another huge 8-0 victory over West!
