Coppell North Cross Country opened its season in a big way, turning in strong performances across all four races and bringing home three first-place team finishes!

The 7th Grade Girls, 7th Grade Boys, and 8th Grade Girls all finished 1st overall, making it an incredible start to the season for North. The 8th Grade Boys also battled through a large field and put together a strong opening race.

8th Grade Girls Take 1st Overall

The 8th Grade Girls came out ready to compete and quickly established themselves at the front of the race.

Madeline Koehler led the way with a fantastic performance, winning the race in 14:11.1. Samvrita Sunil followed in 2nd place, giving North a 1-2 finish right out of the gate.

The Cougars continued filling the top of the leaderboard with Ellika Zonozy finishing 4th and Eirene Lee taking 6th. Four North runners inside the top six set the tone for an outstanding team performance.

The depth continued with Breigh Holguin finishing 12th, Caroline Shaver 16th, Sansthigha Vasantharaju 18th, Allison Quinonez 20th, and Emiliana Martinez 21st. Sherry Silverman and Viha Karusala rounded out a tremendous race for North.

With strong finishes throughout the lineup, the 8th Grade Girls earned 1st place overall as a team!

8th Grade Boys Battle Through a Large Field

The 8th Grade Boys faced one of the largest fields of the afternoon and continued battling from start to finish.

Preston Boucher led North with a 15th-place finish in 14:25.3, followed by Vivaan Naria in 27th.

Owen Cooper and Ryker Allen continued the North effort before the Cougars put together an impressive pack in the middle of the race. Abdullah Alkassar, Matthew Miller, Muhammad Qamar, and Benjamin Langston finished consecutively in 46th through 49th place.

North continued to be represented throughout the field by Aniketh Kanaparthy, Caleb Lawson, and Paul Garner, as the 8th Grade Boys competed all the way through the finish.

7th Grade Girls Fill the Leaderboard

The 7th Grade Girls put together one of North's strongest races of the afternoon.

Karoline Kitchens led the Cougars with a 3rd-place finish, and then North completely took over the leaderboard.

Ana Trujeque Rocha finished 4th, Annie Nguyen took 5th, Sofia Carrio finished 6th, and Kamila Coe came across in 7th.

That gave Coppell North an incredible five consecutive finishers from 3rd through 7th place!

North wasn't done. Madison Waldron finished 9th and Chloe Jouve took 10th, meaning seven of the first 10 finishers were from Coppell North.

Aria Bhojara and Skye Stanback added 13th- and 14th-place finishes, while Mariana Santos Moreno also completed the course for North.

The incredible depth throughout the lineup helped the 7th Grade Girls earn 1st place overall as a team!

7th Grade Boys Go 1-2 and Win It All

The 7th Grade Boys capped off the meet with another outstanding North performance.

David Fast Sanchez led the entire field, winning the race in 13:42.9. Teammate Aayan Sharma was only seconds behind him, finishing 2nd overall in 13:47.0 and giving North another 1-2 finish.

The Cougars added two more runners inside the top eight as Mateo Mettlen finished 7th and Leon Croquevielle took 8th.

North continued showing its depth with Tristan Skye in 17th and Yugan Suresh in 18th. Another pack followed shortly after as Cooper Zingelmann, Mark Hu, and Ricardo Ordaz finished consecutively in 20th, 21st, and 22nd.

Liam Deming added a 25th-place finish, Elijah Sangabriel crossed in 31st, and Elias Lee completed the North lineup with a 40th-place finish.

With two runners leading the entire field and strong performances throughout the lineup, the 7th Grade Boys earned 1st place overall as a team!

An Incredible Start to the Season

For the first meet of the season, North couldn't have asked for a much better start.

The 8th Grade Girls finished 1st overall.

And the 8th Grade Boys battled through a huge field while representing North from beginning to end.

Across all four races, North runners competed hard, supported their teammates, and showed just how much potential this group has moving forward.
