Coppell North Cross Country turned in a strong showing against Coppell East and Coppell West, with the 7th Grade Girls and 8th Grade Girls both taking 1st place as teams. North’s boys also competed hard across the two-mile course, with standout finishes in both races.

8th Grade Girls Take 1st Overall

Madeline Koehler led the 8th Grade Girls with a race-winning time of 12:58.3. Samvrita Sunil followed in 3rd place, giving North two runners among the top three.

The Cougars kept filling the leaderboard. Ellika Zonozy finished 7th, Sansthigha Vasantharaju took 9th, and Eirene Lee placed 10th. With five runners in the top 10, North earned 1st place overall with 30 points.

Allison Quinonez finished 12th, followed by Caroline Shaver in 15th and Sherry Silverman in 16th. Emiliana Martinez, Breigh Holguin, Vedika Madhu, Viha Karusala, Mayssa Khayat, and Hila Silverman rounded out North’s race.

7th Grade Girls Fill the Top 10

The 7th Grade Girls put together another winning team performance. Annie Nguyen led North in 3rd place with a time of 14:55.3, and Madison Waldron followed in 4th.

Ana Trujeque Rocha, Kamila Coe, and Sofia Carrio crossed the line in 5th, 6th, and 7th, giving North five consecutive finishers from 3rd through 7th place. Chloe Jouve added a 10th-place finish, putting six Cougars in the top 10.

Skye Stanback finished 11th, Aria Bhojara took 14th, and Nura Jian placed 18th. Mariana Santos Moreno and Phoebee Garcia also completed the course for North. The 7th Grade Girls earned 1st place overall with 25 points.

7th Grade Boys Show Strength Across the Lineup

Aayan Sharma led the 7th Grade Boys with a 4th-place finish in 12:53.6. Mark Hu joined him in the top 10, finishing 10th in 14:08.6.
North then brought three runners across the line in a row: Tristan Skye finished 14th, Liam Deming took 15th, and Elijah Sangabriel placed 16th. Karthik Upadhyayula followed in 22nd.

Mateo Guardiola, Daniel Rojas, Asher Weisman, and Arjun Adhikary completed the North lineup. The 7th Grade Boys finished 3rd overall with 59 points.

8th Grade Boys Keep Battling

The 8th Grade Boys faced a large field and continued competing through the finish. Rodrigo Ayan-Materano led North in 25th place with a time of 15:01.0, followed by Matthew Miller in 32nd and Benjamin Langston in 35th.

Aniketh Kanaparthy finished 42nd, while Abdullah Alkassar took 47th. Caleb Lawson, Paul Garner, and Vishwak Chundu rounded out the Cougars’ race. The 8th Grade Boys finished 3rd overall with 85 points.

A Strong Day for North

Two team victories, an individual race win, and strong efforts throughout all four races made it a day to celebrate for Coppell North. The Cougars supported one another from the starting line to the finish and will look to carry that energy into their next meet.
