North wrestling opened their season Tuesday night at the CHS gym against Carroll and had a great night. The first ever wrestler from North was Elizabeth DeSantiago who lost a close and hard fought match. Hugh Harris was the first boy wrestler and ended up with the first win ever for a North wrestler. North ended the night with an overall 17-23 record. Other winners were Brooklyn Branum (2 wins), Michelle Suryawan, Anna Sinacori, Fallon Silva, Jorge Sanchez (7th grade), Braden Fischer, Xavier Cortez, Jorge Sanchez (8th grade), Brandon Anastacio, Alexandro Morales, Sam Parada, Luis Mendez, Brand Felts, Landon Davis, Richard Gonzales, and Sehej Mehta. The next match will be Tuesday night at Cross Timbers MS against Grapevine.
