The 7th grade Cougars finished 3rd overall at the district track meet on Monday night. With PR's all over the place, the Cougars brought their best on the day that it mattered. Gage DeLosSantos had a stellar day, bringing home 3 first place finishes, a 4th, and a 3rd. Along with his first place finishes, he cemented his name on the North school record board in 3 different events. He took down the triple jump record (previously held by Johnathan Mcgill, 2014) with a jump of 38'3.5''; the long jump record (previously held by Hunter Robinson, 2006) with a jump of 18'7.5"; and tied the high jump record (previously held by 4 other athletes) with a jump of 5'2".
Along with DeLosSantos, Mathew Castle brought home first place in the Shot put, Dillon Slaton placed 3rd in the 400m, Santiago Saturno placed 3rd in the 800m, Jackson Floren placed 2nd in the 300H, Eric Kim placed 3rd in the long jump, and all 3 relays took 3rd place.
Although the Cougars placed 3rd in the meet, they gained city bragging rights for the year as they topped by East and West.

Great season Cougars!!
