After battling the rush hour traffic on our way to Adams Middle School, our C team started off a bit weary from the road and found themselves down double digits at the half. But a strong showing from many of our reserve players picked up their spirits in the second half, and we made a roaring comeback before falling just short in a 20-18 loss.
B team seemed to have read the same story and also fell behind early. But some gutsy guard play kept them in the game throughout. However, they just couldn’t find a way to take the lid off of the rim and ended up losing 22-13 despite a great effort.
And to round out the evening, A team took control of their game from the start and had Adams feeling the pressure. There were contributions from everyone on the floor, but Charlie Sauer’s 23 points was just too much for Adams to overcome. And a key free throw from Zane Nimalaratne in the closing seconds sealed a 34-32 VICTORY for A team.
