Our 8th grade Cougars went to their first road game of the season, traveling to Medlin Middle School. C teams were up first and Medlin’s tough defense got the best of the Cougars starting off. However, your Cougras showed true grit and battled back and made the game close all the way to the end. Your Cougars fell just short of a win, with a 28-20 loss. Zach Saunders was player of the game with 6 points and great ball handling.

The B squad was up next and the back and forth intensity was felt the whole game. Evan Meekins acted as a spark plug for the Cougars offense with 8 points and Cade Slaton was crashing the boards hard all night. Will Kennington gets player of the game with his great 5 point fourth quarter and his in your face defense all game. Medlin came away with the win 29-24.

The A teams were the last to play and your Cougars came out struggling offensively but played great defense. Unfortunately Medlin took a 23-6 lead into halftime. Your Cougars came out in the second half and out scored Medlin 24-19 in the second half. Even though the Cougars fought hard they came up a little short and lost 42-30. Player of the game goes to the whole Cougar squad for showing the fight all the way till the last buzzer.
