Your North Cougars hosted Tidwell Middle School on Monday night, and C teams were up first. Your Cougars came out firing out the gate and had a stifling defensive effort. North took a 25-7 lead into halftime. However, North’s defense did not let up in the second half and came away with an impressive 44-17 win. Matt Castle gets Player of the game with 14 points and is the leader in rebounds.

Next up were the B teams, and North did not want to let the C team outshine them, so they came out ready to play and shut down Medlin. Your Cougars started the game on a 27-0 run. Max Gruwer led the team with 13 points, including a deep three! However, North did not let up the entire game and came away with a 50-36 victory. The Player of the game goes to the whole team with a great all-around effort!

The A teams were up last as North looked for a clean sweep. Unfortunately, North came out struggling out the gate falling behind 14-7 after one. The Cougars kept battling but were down 34-31 entering the 4th quarter. However, North showed true Cougar fight and had an 18-2 fourth quarter, giving them a 49-36 victory. This makes the Cougars 2-2 on the season. The Player of the game goes to Mohammed Ouedrago with a team-high 13 points and absolutely destroying the boards.
