The 8th Grade lady Cougars traveled down the road to crosstown rival Coppell Middle School West for this weeks matchup! We were very excited to have a few more healthy teammates back this week after being down a couple of players against Keller.

The C Team started off the night with a very intense game, numbers were low due to injury… However, these 7 girls hustled their tails off and secured a win in the 4th quarter 26-24. Player of the game is Christina Esedebe for her epic post moves scoring 12 points with 5 rebounds and 5 steals, and her high energy!

The B Team came out with a bang, scoring 23 points in the first quarter and finishing off with a win 53-5. We’d like to recognize the entire team for their efforts put forth towards this weeks win. We never have to motivate this group to give more, they are so driven and always have their foot on the gas. Great job, B Team!

A Team finished off the night with a win 60-4. Player of the game is Lauren Bennett, she scored 7 points! Lauren has been a consistent force on this team throughout the season. She is very dependable and is someone her teammates can always count on. Great job, Lauren

This week 7th grade girls swept one of our hometown rivals, Coppell West. C team took home the first win of the night with a score of 28 - 4 . This week our player of the game applied her skills as a post and becoming the high scorer of the game with 12 points. Good work Miyah Lampkin.

B team strut their stuff, really working their offensive plays as a cohesive team last night. Meenakshi Muresh eared her team 10 points and the title Player of the game.

A team continues to be undefeated and are currently tied for 1st in the district with East. The girls displayed incredible sportsmanship last night and were shining examples of what it takes to be a true elite athlete. Our players of the game are our high scorers, Jayci Lackey and Landry Koiski-Barger. Both young ladies took charge of the court and stepped up to the plate (or in this case, basket) as leaders. Keep up the good work!
