On Sep 1, 2022 your North, Cougars started off the season and hosted Tidwell. The girls were bursting with emotions and could not wait to start the season. The crowd was no different, as the C teams started the North gym was rocking with cheers and support from the fantastic North Crowd. The ladies battled back and forth for both games but the Cougars fell short in both sets. The Player of the game goes to Maci Moreno with her great serving that included multiple aces and her fantastic passing.

Next up were the B teams. Your Cougars came out with her energy and were eager to get their season underway. Unfortunately, the ladies fell short in both matches. The Player of the game goes to Caroline Berumen with an all-around great performance. She capped her night off with an unbelievable one-handed dig that left the crowd in ah.

Last up were the A teams and your North Cougars did not disappoint. With back and forth match for both sets Tidwell was able to squeak out two victories over North. The Player of the game goes to Giana Caron for her astounding all-around play.




We are so proud of the 7th-grade volleyball teams for playing in their first game of the season away at Tidwell! Each team was very excited to start- and proudly cheered each other on in every set!

The C team girls were up first and played a very close game. We fell short in both sets, but the girls were not discouraged! They are ready to come back next game. This week, I chose 2 players of the week for the C team. First, Brennan Ford won player of the week for being confident on the court and communicating with her team. The next player of the week was Sia Hirani for her consistent serves and great attitude.

Next, our B team was ready to play after cheering on the C team! The B team girls also played a close game, but unfortunately fell short in both sets. The player of the week goes to Lilija Bowen. She was prepared to pass every ball and was a leader on the court.

The A team fought hard in each of their sets- and came out with their first victory against Tidwell! The first set’s score was: 25-17 cougars. The second set’s score was:24-26 with a 5-point comeback! Congratulations A team! The player of the week for the A team was Addison Hamm. Addison was consistent and played confidently. We are going to work hard to prepare for our next game- see you there!
