North v. Argyle

Your North Cougars traveled to Argyle this week and the C teams were first up and the Cougars high energy came out early. Unfortunately, Argle was able to take the win in two straight. Your Cougars were led by their high energy and player of the game Roxana Ansary.

Next up were the B teams. Argyle started off strong from the start but your Cougars did not back down and were able to cut into Argyle’s lead. Unfortunately, Argyle took the first set. North came out hot on the second set and took an early lead. However, Argyle was able to bounce back and defeat North. The Player of the game goes to Caroline Berumen. Her on-the-court leadership and all-around hustle is unmatched!

Last up were the A teams and both teams came out ready to play! The A teams showed off some amazing volleyball skills with some of the best hits, blocks, and digs of the season! Argyle was able to pull out a victory in the first set but North was ready for the second set. North came out and took an early advantage of Argyle. Argyle was able to catch up and they played a back-and-forth game until Argyle was able to put North away. The Player of the game goes to Sawyer Frosk who came out of her shell and played an all-around great game.

Your 7th grade North Cougars once again played on their home court this week. The C teams were up first, ready to fight for another victory! In the first set, Argyle won 25-7. In the second set, your cougars fell short again but put up a great fight. They lost 25-22. Your C team player of the game this week goes to Alexa Boudreaux. She had some amazing net plays- and led her team well.

Next up, our B team was ready to play after cheering on the C team. In the first set, your Cougars played hard, but unfortunately fell short 17-25. In the second set, they were determined to fight, but fell short again 20-25. Your B team player of the game this week goes to Parker Storey. She was a constant encouragement to her teammates and moved her feet to get to every ball!

Last up, the A team brought great energy, ready to play. In the first set your Cougars fell short 13-25. In the second set, they fought hard but again fell short 17-25. We are so proud of how all of our teams played this week. They were encouraged and proud of themselves. The A team player of the game goes to Avery James. Avery had a smile on her face- confident to lead her team. She had multiple incredible back row attacks! We will see you next week!
