This week, the North 7th grade football squad hit the road and headed to Keller Middle School to take on the Comanches on Wednesday evening. So how did it all turn out?

The B team took the field first and looked to get off to a strong start. The Cougars worked to meet the challenge, but found that Keller was well prepared too. A few North highlights included a great all around effort from Victor Paredes which included a TD saving tackle right before halftime as well as a shoutout to Ethan Pate for lining up at a brand new position to help out his team. In the end though, the Comanches effort took control and left the Cougars with a 41-0 loss.

Following up the first game, the Cougars A team knew the challenge that lay before them. Despite some positive plays and an enthusiastic effort, North found themselves fighting from behind for most of the night. Keller was able to capitalize on some tough defensive stands and a few Cougar penalties to take a 33-0 lead into halftime. However, the North roster stepped up a bit in the second half to play tough and left the scoreboard operator bored in the press box as they played Keller to a draw. Shoutouts to Chase Kuegler for his determined effort on both sides of the ball and to QB Jack Wilmington for playing tough to help support their teammates! However, the final result was a 33-0 defeat for North.
