Your North Cougars traveled to in-town rival Coppell Middle School East Broncos! You could feel the energy as soon as North walked into the building. The first game of the night was the C teams. North and East had a back-and-forth battle, with some amazing rallies from both teams! East was able to take the first set but North quickly responded with taking an early lead in the second set. However, East was able to battle back and ended up beating North in two sets. The Player of the game goes to Yalini Muthukumar.

Next up we’re the B teams! The first set was a back-and-forth battle which the Broncos were able to pull out with a win. The Broncos came out the gate hot in the second set taking a 16-1 lead. How wet your Cougars were not going to go down without a fight! North started making an amazing comeback but ultimately fell short 25-18. The players of the game goes to Grace Norris and Cali Shelby with some amazing hits and all-around great front-row play!

Last up were the A teams and North came out to play! North was able to put away East in two straight sets! This play was capped off with North’s best all-around team play of the year! The ladies were able to communicate and run their offense super effectively! The players of the game go to the whole North team!



Your 7th grade teams were pumped to play another rival- Coppell Middle School East. This was the 7th graders last home game, so they were ready to fight! The C team was up first. Unfortunately, North fell short in the first set 16-25. In the second set, the C team put up a great fight, but fell short again 20-25. The player of the game this week for C team was Rachel Howe. Rachel was confident in herself and in her team. She moved her feet and made some incredible passes! We are so proud of you Rachel!

Next up were the B teams, filled with excitement, and ready to play their rival Coppell team! Your Cougars took the first set 25-20! East came back ready to put up a fight, and took the second set 16-25. The gym was roaring with excitement as we started the third set. Unfortunately, East secured the win 15-17 in a nail-biting game! Your North Cougars played a great game. The B team player of the game this week was Fabiana Figueroa! Fabiana was a leader on the court. She confidently passed every ball and constantly was encouraging her teammates to not give up. Thank you for leading the team last night Fabi!

Last up were the A teams, motivated to secure a win for Coppell! In the first set, your North Cougars started strong, winning 25-13! East came back to fight, but North defended their home court, winning 25-21! Good job A team! The player of the game this week was Swara Adusumilli. Swara was a confident middle blocker. She was jumping for every ball- and swinging whenever she got the chance! Good Job Swara!
