Unfortunately Timberview did not have a C team for 8th grade but we were at home so we had a C team Scrimmage! Coach Barley coached the white team and Coach Sieb coached the Red team. The white team hopped out to a quick lead. However, the red team bounced back in the second half to make it a close game. However, the white team was able to squeak out a 20-19 victory. Players of the game go to Pragna Vykuntam and Callie Dishaw! Pragna had a team high 6 points for white and Callie had 4 points for red.
Next up were the b teams and they came out pumped after last weeks big win. North came out with a great full court and half court press that had Timberview unable to find an answer for. North jumped out to a 21-12 halftime lead. In the second half North continued its great defense and did not let up on offense. North beats Timberview 45-23. The player of the game goes to Jenani Sivamani with a team and season high 21 points!!!
Last up where the A teams and Timberview came out the gate on fire! Timberview jumped out to a 26-17 lead at halftime. North continued to fight all the way to the end. North got within 8 in the fourth quarter before Timberview was able to pull ahead. North losses for the first time all year 42-30. The players of the game goes to Logan Kutchins for her great defense and 6 points, and Riley Koski-Barger with a team high 15 points.

Your 7th grade North Cougars traveled to Timberview this week for our third game. All 7th grade teams are undefeated- so we were ready to continue our streak! First up were the C teams, after their long 2 week break from playing in a game! The girls started off the game pressing the other team and stealing the ball left and right! At half, C team was leading 18-2. These girls do not get tired, and kept leading in the second half, winning the game 32-2! I am so proud of this team for jumping right back into the game, and playing hard. Players of the game this week for C was Rachel Howe and Fabiana Figueroa. Fabiana was a defensive STAR! She stole the ball from every girl she was guarding and would let nobody pass! Rachel was our offensive star this game, scoring a total of 12 points! She was an avid rebounder, and would throw the ball right back up to score! Way to go Fabi and Rachel!
Next up were the B teams, excited to play after Thanksgiving break! Our girls started strong, leading 24-2 at half. Your B team was constantly stealing the ball and fast breaking to score. They won the game 48-2. WOW! These girls did not hold back. They are quick! Your B team player of the game this week is Abigail Imwold. Abigail is incredibly smart, and picks up the game well. She is a solid post and traps her defenders. She led her team last night- leading us to victory. I am proud of you Abigail!
Last up were the A teams, ready to finish and secure another sweep for the season. In the first half of the game, your girls led 21-0. They were playing strong, driving to the basket and setting up their new offense. They won their game 31-1, thanks to Avery James with her last second basket that brought us to 31 points! Player of the game for A team was Swara Adusamili. Swara is a team leader and knows how to play the game well. She consistently makes 3-pointers in every game, helping lead her team to victory. You can place Swars anywhere on the court and trust her. Great job Swara!
