7th:
The North Cougars played their final home game of the season, hosting Heritage. The A teams kicked things off, but the Cougars started a bit slow, dropping the first set 25-12. However, they bounced back with fierce determination, winning the next two sets to claim the victory! Emmy Anene was a powerhouse at the net, dominating the front row and delivering impressive serves. Brylee Felix was unstoppable, racking up 16 service points. But the standout player of the game was Brielle Ownby, who stepped up to play all-around, excelling both in her passing and hitting, truly making her mark on the match!
Next up were the B teams, and North came out ready to dominate, taking the first set 25-17. However, Heritage fought back hard, claiming the second set 25-8. The third and deciding set was a nail-biter, but Heritage managed to pull off a narrow 15-11 victory. Bryce Wilson and Maddie Berumen were forces to be reckoned with on the front row, combining their strong net play with a powerful serving game. Mila Obidzinski delivered another outstanding performance with precise sets, sharp hits, and excellent serves. Yet, the player of the game honors went to Kendall Dunkelberger, who not only shined as libero but also showed exceptional leadership, guiding her teammates with transitions and positioning throughout the match.
The C teams wrapped up the night, with North determined to secure a win. Heritage, however, had other plans. North fell behind early but mounted a thrilling comeback, narrowly losing the first set 28-26. In the second set, North was unstoppable, dominating Heritage with a swift 25-10 victory! The third set was tough, but North held strong, sealing the win 15-12. Anna Dinsmore shined with stellar defensive plays and even more impressive serves, while Sterling Cook "cooked" as libero, chasing down incredible balls and leading the defense. Our Players of the Game were Victoria Mota and Connie Amsler, whose excellent play was matched only by their vocal leadership on the court! Don’t miss the final regular season game against West next week!

Incredibly consistent defense and serving mixed with spot on kills and net play allowed the B team to push hard through 3 sets and wrap up the match with a win! We welcomed back Kate Kingsford and Abby Behr who were missed on the court last week. Jalina Suarez, Laurel Storey and Sienna Petereit continue to have amazing passing, serves and defensive play. Brinley Robinson and Abby Behr showed smart game play and diverse skill sets through a variety of positions. Players of the Game this week goes to Aneesda Anand and Madison Shelby. Aneesha moved up this week from the C team and found her stride contributing 14 points off of serves alone! Madison has come into her own with multiple kills and blocks, proving to be a valuable asset on the front row.

A TEAM
A team had a great night winning the match in 2 quick sets 25-22, 25-16. All members of the team worked together and stayed focused throughout the entire match. Olly Anene had a fierce block that fired up the team in the first set. Taylor Mechsner brought in some intimidating kills that threw the Broncos off of their game. Allison Lewis and Izzy Lingenbrink showed consistency in their passing game which allowed setters, Kaitlyn Thiele and Emma Rose, multiple options on offense. Nethra Naresh, Gaby Keating, and Sarah Wells did an outstanding job delivering offensively, in both sets. The team’s serving was strong all night. Serving a combined 28 out of 50 serves and making big plays on offense, this week’s Players of the Game are Gaby Keating and Sarah Wells. The whole team deserves a shout out on a great night of volleyball!!
